The path is quite steep, but it offers a beautiful panorama of the Durance when you reach the crest. It is a hike that takes place mainly in the forest and on tracks, the route offers very beautiful clear views of the Durance valley.

Departure from the Place de la République in Malijai, head towards the school then towards the N85. Cross it and follow it on your right for 250m. Take the path on the left that crosses the old Digne railway line. After passing the stadium, then a few olive groves, the route takes a wide track that first runs along the bottom of a ravine then rises on its wooded side to a small flat area. The PR leaves the track 200m further on and climbs quite steeply into the woods. When you reach the crest, the view opens up over the entire Durance. After a flat and relaxing section, you end with a final climb that takes you to the summit of Pourachère. You can return by the same path or by the Escale, from where you will return to Malijai by following the unmarked EDF canal (allow 1h45).
